MIDDLETOWN -- Phillip Norman, a 53-year-old Middletown man charged in September with raping a 12-year-old girl, now faces 50 charges total after more accusers came forward.
Court documents indicate Normal told detectives he performed a sex act on an underage girl. He also admitted to taking inappropriate pictures of minors, which detectives found on his computer.
Relatives of Norman’s accusers said he gained their trust before taking advantage of their children.
Even families not directly affected by the charges said the news had put them on edge. Misty Mullins, a Middletown mother, said she plans to move to keep her children safe.
"I couldn’t imagine something like this happening to one of my daughters," Mullins said. "I wouldn’t know what to do."
