MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Organizers with the Fenwick Festival in Middletown say heavy winds and rain Thursday night damaged several festival tents.
Organizers said winds were also strong enough to knock over and damage a trailer at the festival, which is set up in the parking lot of Bishop Fenwick High School.
Two of the tents didn't survive the storm and needed to be replaced.
Organizer Mike Rife called the winds “scary.”
"Oh it was incredible. It was incredible,” Rife said. “I really thought we had a monsoon tornado type thing. It was coming right across. We had water in the entry of the school and everything like that."
