HAMILTON, Ohio -- A 15-year-old boy was found shot in the leg after being in the “wrong place at the wrong time,” according to Hamilton police.
The shooting was first reported at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday near the area of Ludlow and South 13th streets.
Officers said the teenager was treated at an area hospital.
Detective Rich Burkhardt told the Hamilton Journal-News that the boy was “in the wrong place at the wrong time” when he was accompanying a man, 21, who was buying marijuana.
Police are looking for the person who set up the drug deal.
No description of the suspect has been released by police, but detectives said the victim and suspect do not know each other.
