HAMILTON, Ohio -- A young boy is without his best friend, thanks to an apparent thief who took him away Friday evening.
Teddy Gray received Keesha as a gift on Christmas morning, a fur ball of joy to call his very own. He believes his puppy, just five months old, was stolen by a thief from his home in Hamilton.
"I love my Keesha," Teddy said.
Ted Gray, father of 9-year-old Teddy, said explaining to his son that someone took Keesha has been difficult.
"It was a Christmas present, and now she's gone and this boy is tore up," Ted said. "His heart is broken."
Teddy's mother, Kristy Gray, said he's devastated and misses the little dog by his side.
"It's very hard to see your son go through something where you can't tell him why somebody has done this because you don't really know why," she said. "All I ask is if they would just please bring her back for my son, he's 9 years old. The boy is not sleeping, not eating very well."
Teddy said, "Whenever I go to sleep, she used to crawl in bed with me."
His parents filed a police report, and have searched the neighborhood numerous times. Anyone who can help Teddy find Keesha is asked to call the Hamilton Police Department at (513) 868-5811.
"I just want her back for his sake you know," Kristy said "I just want to see him smile again."
