HAMILTON, Ohio – Undercover agents nabbed $70,000 worth of heroin and arrested three people in a major multi-county drug trafficking bust Friday.
Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics and Hamilton County Drug Abuse Reduction Taskforce officers conducted simultaneous search warrants Friday on a drug trafficking cell, Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones said.
The traffickers were operating in both Butler and Hamilton counties, he said.
Agents arrested Rashod Lindsey, 27, and Kelvin Whiteside, 23, during a search at an apartment in the 1800 block of Lakeknoll Drive in Mount Healthy.
Agents arrested Ray Walker, 30, during a search at an apartment on North 10th Street in Hamilton.
Officers found a pound-and-a-half of heroin (worth an estimated $70,000), miscellaneous pills, five firearms – one of which was stolen – $6,000 in cash, a drug press, digital scales and other paraphernalia during their searches.
“I will take them one at a time, or by the dozen to get this junk off the street and out of this county,” Jones said. “We recently re-opened the Butler County Resolutions Jail, so I have plenty of space for these criminals.”
Lindsey is charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, and weapons under disability, all felony charges. Walker is charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. Whiteside is charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. All charges are felonies.
