FAIRFIELD, Ohio - While the search on Friday slowed due to the heat and a light turnout, Saturday's search for Katelyn Markham, who has been missing since mid August is much more intense with over 180 searchers and a 21-person Horse Search team from central Ohio.
The search began around 9 a.m on Saturday and is again encompassing the areas near her home and where searchers believe she was last seen. Though they have been fighting the heat, volunteers, along with the Texas Equusearch team vow to continue throughout the day on Saturday.
Along with the search groups, Cincinnati restauranteur Jeff Ruby came out and offered $10,000 dollars to help the search continue until Katelyn Markham is found.
9 News has a crew out with searchers today and we will continue updating this story as it progresses here on WCPO.com and we will have a complete summary tonight on 9 News at 11:30.
