HAMILTON, Ohio -- An inmate died Monday after he was found unresponsive at a Butler County jail.

Billy Hall was being held on charges out of Hamilton County, according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.

Corrections officers found him unresponsive at about 8 a.m. An emergency crew from Hamilton took him to Fort Hamilton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The sheriff's office and Butler County coroner are investigating. Hall's cause of death has not been determined.

Earlier this year, Samantha Young, of Cincinnati, died at the Butler County Corrections Center, according to the coroner's office. Young, 21, of Cincinnati, hanged herself in the facility on Hanover Street.

Young was in jail charged with violating probation. A report from WCPO news partner WHIO said Young "had been involved in an altercation with another inmate sometime before the suicide" Jan. 18.
