Man arrested for sending sexually graphic messages to teen on social media

HEBRON, Ky. -- Police arrested a Northern Kentucky man Wednesday who allegedly sent sexually graphic messages to a teen via Facebook.

Police charged 36-year-old Matthew Freudenberg with "unlawful use of electronics to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities (importuning) and tampering with physical evidence."

Each felony charge could bring Freudenberg, who lived in the 1,600 block of Lantana Court in Hebron, one to five years in jail.

The parents of the 14-year-old victim involved found out about the messages and reported the interaction to police, according to spokesman Tom Scheben of the Boone County Sheriff's Office.

Det. Jeremy Rosing took over the boy's Facebook account, and in disguise, had an online conversation with Freudenberg. The suspect asked for a nude photo of the teen, Scheben said.

Freudenberg was taken to the Boone County Detention Center, and is held on a $50,000 bond.
