CINCINNATI -- Ladies, if you’ve ever wanted to throw a pitch from the mound, hang out in the press box or see the ins-and-outs of everything that happens at Great American Ball Park, the Cincinnati Reds have a night for you.

Tickets are still available for the third annual “A Night of Their Own—Baseball 101” event, happening July 21 at GABP.

“For me, the most exciting part is the fact you get to hang out in such a completely different venue than any other girl’s night you’re going to have in the city this year,” said Amanda Brennaman, who is promoting the event.

Brennaman’s husband Marty, the famed Reds’ broadcaster, will be at the event. Aside from meeting Marty, attendees will also get time with Reds manager Bryan Price and third base coach Billy Hatcher.

“There’s not many times that Great American Ball Park is opened for women fans only,” Brennaman said. “And not just fans, but folks that want to learn more about the game. Or (they) know a ton about the game, but really want to kind of experience the ballpark from a completely different perspective.”

Tickets for the event are $175 and they include a buffet with an open bar, a gift bag, a ticket for an upcoming Reds game and a tour of the ballpark.

“You get to be on the field, you get to learn how to steal second,” Brennaman said. “You get to catch some balls in the outfield, you get to throw a pitch from the pitching mound and you get to take batting practice in the cages.”

Anyone interested in signing up for the event can go to reds.com/baseball101 or call (513) 765-7237.
