Babysitter charged with child abuse, girl had significant head injuries

COLERAIN TWP, Ohio - A babysitter from Colerain Township is jailed after allegations that she significantly injured a child.

Police arrested 29-year-old Donna Hoffman Thursday, hours after she was indicted on several charges related to the alleged child abuse Wednesday.

The child — whose age has not yet been released — was abused back in February at Hoffman's home located on Haskell Drive, according to Hamilton County Sheriff's Office detectives.

Officials said Friday morning that the girl's injuries were significant and include a complex skull fracture, according to police.

Officials have not released any additional details at this time.
