HAMILTON, Ohio -- A 54-year-old man arrested for robbing a Hamilton hair salon on Friday is believed to be responsible for two other robberies in area over the past three days.
Hamilton police arrested Albert Davis during a traffic stop on Brookwood Avenue Friday evening for a robbery earlier in the day at Colours Hair Salon. Investigators say they were led to Davis after receiving tips from witnesses and local business owners.
According to investigators with the Hamilton Police Department, Davis entered the salon on North East Street at about noon Friday and demanded money. While brandishing a knife, Davis grabbed a female employee by her arm and made her open the register and remove cash, witnesses told police.
He then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
Hamilton police believe Davis is also responsible for robbing a local Family Video on Oct. 16 and Howell Cleaners on Oct. 17.
Davis has been charged with aggravated robbery in connection with Friday's incident. He also faces charges for drug abuse and carrying a concealed weapon after drugs and a knife were found during the traffic stop.
It's unclear when and if additional charges will be filed related to the other robberies.
The investigations into all three robberies is ongoing.
