MONROE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- One woman is dead and another is injured after a crash in Adams County.
The crash happened at about 1 p.m. Wednesday on Brush Creek Road south of Beasley Fork Road in Monroe Township.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said 68-year-old Phyllis Walls of West Union was heading south on Brush Creek Road when she struck a vehicle heading north on the roadway.
Investigators said their preliminary report indicates that Walls failed to yield the right-half of the roadway while negotiating a curve.
Troopers said Walls hit a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Mary Channell of Manchester head-on.
Walls was pronounced dead at the scene by Adams County Coroner Dr. Larry Best.
Channell was flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.
The crash is still under investigation.
