HAMILTON, Ohio – A 20-year-old who crashed a Ford Mustang early in the morning of New Year's Day has died.
Aaron Jones' 1998 Mustang hit a large stone sign in the center median at the entrance to Millikin Woods Park on Washington Boulevard, south of Woodview Lane, police said.
The accident happened about 4:50 a.m.
Jones, from Hamilton, had to be extricated by the Hamilton Fire Department and flown by AirCare helicopter to University Cincinnati Medical Center for surgery. He died from his injuries Friday, Jan. 3.
Police said they are still investigating to determine if alcohol or drugs played a part in the accident. Accident investigators continue to look into all events leading up to the crash.
