WHITEWATER TWP, Ohio - Two people suffered serious injuries following a head-on crash on OH 128 in Whitewater Township Monday morning.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says a 1993 Ford Explorer driven by Dennis Alsip Jr., 19, of Cleves, was traveling south near Morgan Road around 8:10 a.m. He failed to maintain control of his vehicle when he passed Morgan Road, went left of center and struck a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Lisa Hasting, 22, also of Cleves.

Hasting was transported to University Hospital by a medical helicopter. She is listed in critical condition.

Alsip was also taken to University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
