CINCINNATI -- Most people would likely run if someone told them the undead had invaded their neighborhood, but not fans of 3 Floyds Brewing.
When Zombie Dust, one of the Munster, Indiana, brewery’s most popular beers, is on tap at a Cincinnati bar, fans flock there in droves. The reason? Beer aficionado sites such as ratebeer.com regularly rank 3 Floyds as one of the top breweries in the world.
The search for Zombie Dust, as well as the brewery’s other beers, in Cincinnati has gotten a bit easier in recent months.
“They have increased production,” said Amy Browns Taylor, director of marketing for Cavalier Distributing, which distributes 3 Floyds beers in Ohio.
In 2014, 3 Floyds' owners announced a $10 million plan that would expand beer production over three years. Sara White, 3 Floyds communications director, confirmed that the brewery’s Munster facility is now at full capacity.
While Cincinnati sightings of 3 Floyds are more frequent, Taylor said the distribution and sales of the brewery's beer still “comes and goes quickly as ever.” The websites for Cavalier and 3 Floyds offer some help, though, thanks to the most recent listing of distribution locations.
