Summer is rapidly approaching, and the weather is finally warm enough to enjoy all the fun that comes with the season.

Memorial Day weekend offers a prime opportunity to get a jump on the fun. Here’s our guide to making the most of summertime entertainment.

Find the Perfect Patio

The best part of spring and summer is the opportunity to sit on a patio with a drink or a meal and enjoy the good weather. Cincinnati has some tremendous patios. Here are nine of WCPO Contributor Julie Niesen Gosdin’s favorites.

We All Scream for Ice Cream

Memorial Day is upon us, which means many of the seasonal ice cream shops have opened. Of course, there are some shops that fulfill your ice cream needs all year-round; Graeter's is, of course, the granddaddy of Cincinnati ice cream. (Black raspberry chip, anyone?) But we have so many more options for you to try, places serving everything from traditional ice cream to more exotic, foodie-focused frozen treats.

Free Summer Movies Abound

Watching a movie under the stars on a summer night is one of life's great pleasures. Lucky for us, parks all over the Tri-State offer that treat for free throughout the lazy, hazy days between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Here are free outdoor movies to mark on your calendar this summer.

Prime Beers for Porch Sippin'

What’s more American in the summertime than sitting outside with the grill going, the ballgame on and a cold one in your hand? Absolutely nothing. Luckily, this area is blessed with multiple breweries, which means a variety of beers to sample while grilling out or just relaxing outside at the end of a long workday. Here are nine recommendations for local beers that are perfect for sipping on the porch.

Summer Concerts for Everyone

Summertime and the living is ... busy, especially when it comes to the list of amazing concerts coming to Greater Cincinnati. It’s a seriously crazy bumper-crop of modern megastars, reunited legends, country kings and queens, and festivals with a bit of everything for everyone. Here are 25 of our top concert picks for your summer, including a few shows in nearby cities (they're worth the drive).

Alfresco Dining

The weather has warmed up, but it's not too hot. It's perfect weather to eat outside, and Cincinnati continues to up its outdoor dining game. Want to dine alfresco? Here's a list of restaurants around the area.

Food, Drinks and a Side of Views

Cincinnati is a gorgeous city, and restaurants are increasingly maximizing the views that they have. There are plenty of places in Cincinnati to find food and drinks served with a view. Here are nine of our favorite spots.
