You don't want to go out on Thanksgiving, but you don't want to cook, either. Or, perhaps you are going to a friend's or relative's home and have been asked to bring something.

Here are some fantastic Thanksgiving food options, from the whole meal to just a pie, that are a little out of the box and available for holiday pickup.

The Turkey

Ollie's Trolley: Want a deep-fried turkey without the possibility of needing to call the fire department? Ollie's will deep fry a turkey for you (or, if you prefer, bake or smoke it). You can pick it up the morning of Thanksgiving. (Sides are available, too.) Order by the Monday before Thanksgiving. 1607 Central Ave., West End. 513-381-6100.

Pit to Plate: Bring a turkey to Pit to Plate and they will smoke it for you, for $1 per pound. This is a service they provide year-round for any time you're craving smoked turkey. They, too, offer sides for sale.  8021 Hamilton Ave., Mount Healthy.

The Sides

Eat Well Celebrations and Feasts: Renee Schuler, owner of Eat Well Celebrations and Feasts, sells sides only out of her Newport storefront. The menu includes everything from veggie trays, to sausage stuffing, to creamed corn, to vegan stuffed acorn squash with wild rice. Prices vary; call to place an order. 921 Monmouth St., Newport. 859-291-9355.

La Soupe: In the spirit of Thanksgiving, pick up some "soupe" from La Soupe. Suzy DeYoung reclaims vegetables and other food from local restaurants and repurposes it to help feed the hungry, all funded by her for-profit soup business. The Newtown location has Thanksgiving-appropriate soups such as sweet-potato chorizo and cabbage, and potato and sausage chowder; call for additional selections and to place an order. 4150 Round Bottom Road, Newtown. 513-271-0100.

The Dessert

O Pie O: Some of the best pies in the city are available in East Walnut Hills. O Pie O is offering pies for Thanksgiving, including bourbon pecan, apple crumble, browned butter pumpkin and its signature pie, honey vinegar. Pies range from $27-$35 and may be ordered only via its website; pickup is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of Thanksgiving week. 1527 Madison Road, East Walnut Hills. 513-274-3238.

Sur La Table Pie Class: Learn how to make perfect pie crust and delicious fillings in this class. You'll go home with two pies (apple-cranberry and pumpkin-chocolate) in pie plates ready to be baked for the holidays. It's the perfect blend of DIY and takeout: You don't have to clean up afterward, but you definitely made it yourself. $89 per person. 2673 Edmondson Road, Hyde Park. 513-351-5308.

The Whole Shebang

Walt's Barbeque: Walt's buffet is available for take-out: $13.50 for a container of smoked turkey, pulled pork, ham and all of the fixings. It's available at both the Hamilton and Colerain locations. 746 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton, 513-868-9258; 6040 Colerain Ave., Colerain, 513-923-9800.

A Forkable Feast: Order Thanksgiving takeout online from A Forkable Feast, which features a lot of gluten-free options, including turkey, Brussels sprouts, apple-sage cornbread stuffing and even gluten free pies. (Don't worry -- you can have a regular pie crust, too). Items can be purchased to serve from eight to 16 people and range in price based on the item and quantity. Try the handy online ordering form here. 3363 Madison Road, Oakley. 513-871-8646.

Fresh Table: Fresh Table in Findlay Market will roast and carve your turkey for $40, and you also can pick up sides, including sweet potato casserole, sweet potato salad, bread stuffing and cranberry relish. Sides range from $9.99-$16.99 per pound. 1801 Race St., Over-the-Rhine. 513-381-3774.
