CINCINNATI -- From special socks to the poses that make your legs shake, trying a barre workout class sounds daunting — but don’t worry, it’s not.

Pure Barre’s Cincinnati and Kenwood locations are offering 10 free classes to WCPO Insiders, as long as you take them up on the offer before May 3.

Barre classes aim to work muscles to fatigue with upbeat music. The focus is on toning.

“As long as you can follow instructions, you can do the class,” said Anna Zimmerman, owner of Pure Barre in Kenwood. “Actually, a majority of clients aren’t dancers. As long as you can hold on to the bar, (you can do it.)”

Each workout starts with a warm-up, followed by weights. Then you move to the bar.

“It targets every area you want to tone, works abs, just a fun way to work out,” Zimmerman said.

Insiders have until June 30 to take the classes, which need to be taken consecutively. Users need to be new to Pure Barre to cash in on the offer.

After the offer is over, Chelsea Schomp, owner of Pure Barre Cincinnati, said there are other membership options.

“…We do the first month for $99 unlimited. (It) gives you a month to see how many times you’ll (attend),” she said.

In a month, you’ll likely see you body change.

“Everything we work, we work to fatigue,” she said. “You’re going to shake. You’re going to act like you’re like you’re standing on a washer and dryer, that’s good.”
