'Good Morning America' anchor Robin Roberts shares how breast cancer changed her perspective

CINCINNATI -- Every year, it's a sea of pink: More than 1,500 people, mostly women, raised money for breast cancer education, support services and research at the 14th annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon.

WCPO 9 On Your Side's Carol Williams emceed Thursday's event with Cris Collinsworth, and "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts, a breast cancer survivor, gave the keynote address.

Among the items up for bid during the luncheon's auction: a batting session with Todd Frazier and a visit to GMA -- Roberts pulled in $20,000 for that prize from Pure Romance founder Patty Brisben, and then Roberts matched her with another $20,000.

The money benefits the Cris Collinsworth ProScan Fund, which, among other things, helps provide mammograms to low-income women.
