MASON, Ohio - While police continue to investigate the alleged beating death of a Sycamore Township toddler , the 2-year-old will be laid to rest Monday.

A funeral is at a Mason church for James Lee Livesay, the toddler who died March 12.

Anthony Pierson, 32, was arrested March 14 for beating the toddler to death. Pierson was the live-in boyfriend of the boy's mother.

Livesay was found unresponsive in a home at a residence at Village Green trailer park in the 7500 block of School Road March 12.

Livesay's visitation and funeral will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Church of God located at 204 Williams Street in Mason.

Pierson is charged with one count of murder and at a court hearing March 15 he was denied bond.
