Maggie Browne is a senior at Boone County High School. Browne truly loves to perform. Whether it is singing or acting, the senior shines on stage.
Maggie is featured in the Cincinnati Children's Theater of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” She is also in the musical theater intensive preparation program at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
Maggie also uses her musical talents to bring some joy to her community. She has volunteered the past two years at local hospice facilities to sing Christmas carols.
"Bringing them the joy that they need at that time in their life, it is so rewarding. I can't even -- it's just amazing. I would do it every day if I could," Browne said.
Browne is involved in the school choir and a leader in the Varsity a cappella group.
She’s also a leader in the classroom. Browne is the vice-president of the National Honor Society.
"We love having her around the school and if you could clone her and have her one per class, or one per graduating class, it would be really great," Lauren Barnhill, a teacher at Boone County High School, said.
“Maggie has that rare personality that makes all students and teachers want to be around her. She musically talented, a great student, and leads through her personality, wit, and kindness,” Jerome Gels, a teacher at Boone County High School, said.
“Maggie’s leadership skills are far beyond students at a high school level. She’s always volunteering to help out with things,” Barnhill said.
