CINCINNATI - Extra curricular activities, two part-time jobs and volunteering at church are just some of the responsibilities for one outstanding Mcauley High School student.
To say senior Hannah Ungruhe is involved in school may just be an understatement.
She's involved in student council, national honor society, key club, mock trail and the list continues.
But if that isn't enough, she just add the part-time job she has as a lifeguard to the list.
"I think it's a lot of time management and I have been taught responsibility and independence from a really young age so it's just part of who I am and I've just started getting use to it," said Ungruhe.
Mcauley High School teacher, Pat Basler, says it's her sweet spirit and willingness to help others that sets her apart.
"What truly made me impressed with [Ungruhe] is her caring so much for other people. She went to Haiti on a mission trip to help with the earthquake victims. She coaches. She mentors," said Basler.
While in Haiti on that mission trip, Hannah led vacation bible school with 200 children.
"It was amazing to be able to see these kids who didn't have as much as we do and they were still so grateful that we were just there, and they were so open and loving and it was amazing to see and it really just taught me that I should appreciate what I have and everyone here is just so blessed," said Ungruhe.
Ungruhe plans to attend the University of Cincinnati, in the fall. She wants to become a speech pathologist because she loves working with kids.
