HEBRON, Ky. - A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Tuesday afternoon as DHL celebrates a new expansion project for its package delivery hub at the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
The $22.5 million project was built on 19 acres that will now allow for nine new aircrafts and gates to accommodate the growing demand of international shipping customers.
There are 78 DHL flights that operate per day to and from the CVG hub. The flights connect shipments to areas across the United States as well as throughout the world including Europe, Asia, Mexico, Canada and South America. DHL in Hebron currently employs more than 2,000 people.
The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
