CINCINNATI - A hearing on whether the Cincinnati Police Chief is allowed to skip a certification test is on hold.
The Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission was to hear Chief James Craig's request on Thursday. The commission rescheduled the hearing for May 17.
Craig has more than 35 years of experience and requested an exemption from a 200 question multiple-choice test. In a letter to the commission the chief wrote, "this certification test in no way will assess my ability to lead a major city police department."
