WEST HARRISON, Ind. -- Several months of investigating led authorities to make three arrests related to methamphetamine in Indiana Wednesday.
Dearborn/Ohio County detectives, Dearborn County Sheriff's Deputies and Indiana State Troopers executed a search warrant at a home in the 28000 block of Chappelow Hill Road, and found materials used to make meth, along with an operating meth lab inside a shed just outside the home.
"Methamphetamine is a highly addictive drug and toxicity from chemicals can remain in the environment around a methamphetamine production lab long after the lab has been shut down," Dearborn/Ohio County prosecutor's investigator Shane McHenry said.
The three West Harrison residents arrested include 56-year-old Jerry Jones, 54-year-old Chauntel Jones and Anita Smith, whose age was not released.
Jerry Jones and Chauntel Jones were each charged with dealing meth, conspiracy to commit dealing meth and maintaining a common nuisance. Smith was charged with conspiracy to dealing meth and maintaining a common nuisance.
