MASON, Ohio – Mason police chased a suspect in several recent church thefts Friday but he gave them the slip.
Shortly after 9 a.m., officers observed a vehicle in the lot of Hope Church that matched the description of a vehicle from thefts in the area. The suspect drove off when officers attempted to stop him.
Officers pursued the suspect into Sharonville, but they lost sight of the vehicle and stopped the pursuit.
The suspect vehicle is a silver 2000 Saab station wagon with Kentucky license plate 671KEB. The vehicle was reported stolen. There is damage to the rear driver-side bumper.
The suspect is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and about 230 pounds.
