MADEIRA, Ohio -- Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a shooting at a Madeira apartment complex.

One of the suspects shot a man at about 9 a.m. Sunday near the 7300 block of Shawnee Run Road, police said.

First responders transported the victim to Bethesda North Hospital.

Police said they found the suspect’s vehicle at about 6:30 p.m. in Cincinnati. The suspects fled the scene in a red 2006 Infiniti with Ohio plates HBU 1087. It is not yet clear whether either of the suspects are in custody, and police said they should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

Officials from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation were at the scene Sunday evening.

The shooting is the second in the area in two months; an intrudershot a woman in the leg in July after he and another man barged into her apartment at 7370 Shawnee Run Road.

Peter Kosel has lived near Shawnee Run for almost three decades. He said the neighborhood is usually peaceful, but the recent shootings have him and his family on edge.

“Is this the beginning of an ongoing trend that’s going to continue -- maybe at not a furious rate, but if you get one of these things once a year, compared to the 27 years of peace that I’ve had here, it’s starting to make an impact,” Kosel said.

Anyone with information should call the Madeira Police Department at 513-272-4214.
