Man breaks 2-year-old's wrists, charged with endangering children

$300,000 bond

CINCINNATI -- A toddler was found Thursday with several broken bones and internal bleeding and police say a Delhi man is responsible.

Officers arrested Ivan Isaac, 27, after they discovered the 2-year-old he was caring for had two broken wrists, a broken arm and clavicle and was suffering from internal bleeding. The child had surgery Friday afternoon.

Police say the beating happened at a residence in the 400 block of Pedretti Road.

When officers questioned Isaac, he said the toddler sustained his injuries from falling out of a crib.

But when the child was examined at Children's Hospital, doctors told investigators the injuries are consistent with child abuse and not from a fall.

Isaac is charged with one count of endangering children. A judge set his bond at $300,000 Friday morning after he pled not guilty.
