CINCINNATI -- Police charged a shuttle bus driver in a fatal crash last November.

Donna Springs, 56, was driving a Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center shuttle at about 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the intersection of Lincoln and Winslow avenues when she collided with an oncoming motorcyclist, 50-year-old Charles Reed.

Police said in court records that Springs made a left turn and struck Reed.

Reed was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was driven to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition and died 10 days later.

The police Traffic Unit charged Springs with vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter Wednesday.

The incident was still under investigation. Police asked any witnesses to call them at 513-352-2514.
