SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A teenage boy is in juvenile detention after police say he fled from officers and eventually crashed into a utility pole in Columbia Township Friday morning.

At 1:22 a.m. Friday, a sheriff's deputy tried to stop a tan 2002 Buick Century in the 8000 block of Reading Road because they suspected it had been stolen in Cincinnati. Police say the vehicle continued northbound and through multiple streets before crashing at Cambridge and Edith avenues near Mariemont.

The driver was taken into custody without incident, however he suffered non-life threatening injuries from being unrestrained inside the vehicle. He was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital prior to being transported to Juvenile Detention.

Two teenage male passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated at the scene before being released to their guardians.

Police said the driver was charged with fleeing and eluding, receiving stolen property and driving without a license.
