INDEPENDENCE, Ky. -- A man accused of multiple charges of distribution and possession of child pornography is being extradited to Northern Kentucky from Contra Costa County, California.
Forty-year-old Joseph Crail faces 1,371 counts of possessing child porn and one count of distribution of child porn. A warrant for his arrest was issued nationwide on Tuesday. By Wednesday, detectives located Crail in the San Francisco area by tracking financial services they say he used there.
On Feb. 24, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs told Independence Police they had evidence of child porn being sent from an IP address in Independence to a suspect they had arrested. A day later on Feb. 25, Kenton County Police then seized cellphones, computers and electronic equipment Crail owned.
