GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A mother who police say overdosed on heroin with her boyfriend at a McDonald's play area in Green Township will spend 180 days in jail.
Tamica Jeffers pleaded guilty to one count of child endangerment Monday in Hamilton County court after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors. In exchange, prosecutors dropped a second charge of child endangerment. The 33-year-old Jeffers, of Dillsboro, Ind., wept in court as she denied ever using heroin, telling Judge Fanon Rucker that she had a seizure after her boyfriend, Robert Palmer, overdosed March 9 in a McDonald's indoor play area.
