LEBANON, Ohio -- A Dayton man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to two counts each of robbery and kidnapping.

Andre Wright, 37, and another man brandished a toy gun to steal phones, iPads, other electronics and cash from Verizon stores in Germantown and Deerfield Township last year, Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell announced.

The pair tied up the store clerks and left them in the rear bathrooms of the respective stores, according to Fornshell.

In addition to the prison time, Wright will have to pay more than $20,000 in restitution to the stores.

Authorities identified Wright's accomplice, James Shell, from surveillance video, according to Fornshell. Shell pleaded guilty in October and was also sentenced to spend 15 years in prison and pay back $20,000 in restitution.
