CINCINNATI -- A Cincinnati man charged with attempting to engage in sexual activity with a minor through sexting is scheduled to appear in a Hamilton County courtroom Tuesday for sentencing.
Landon Boettcher, 28, was convicted on five separate charges after police say he sent naked pictures of himself to a 14-year-old and attempted to engage in sexual activity with the girl via cellphone between the months of April and May.
Officers says Boettcher had been advised of the girls age numerous times and told to stay away from her to no avail.
A search warrant on the victims phone revealed several inappropriate text messages between Boettcher and the minor occurred over the two-month period.
Boettcher is charged with three counts of importuning and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile.
He has been held in jail since his arrest on a $30,000 dollar bond for each count against him.
Boettcher is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m.
