A man police say robbed two banks in the Tri-State was arrested and taken to jail early Tuesday morning.

COVINGTON, Ky. -- A man police say robbed two banks in the Tri-State was arrested and taken to jail early Tuesday morning.
Fort Mitchell police officers took 32-year-old Eric Billman, of Cincinnati, into custody for outstanding warrants. Detectives of the Florence and Cincinnati police departments helped out in the investigation.
Billman, according to Lt. Martin Mack, is charged with two counts of robbery from two incidents that happened in early March.

On March 4 at about 10 a.m., Mack said the suspect entered the Key Bank at 53 East Fourth Street, and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. Although police arrived minutes after, he fled the scene.
The Chase Bank, at 4899 Houston Road in Florence was robbed at about 12:30 p.m. on March 8. The suspect in this incident also passed a note to the teller demanding cash, and ran from the bank before officers arrived.
Billman remained behind bars in the Kenton County Detention Center Tuesday night.
