CINCINNATI -- Judge Megan Shanahan declared a mistrial in the case against Ray Tensing, a former University of Cincinnati police officer indicted on counts of murder and voluntary manslaughter in the death of Samuel DuBose.

After 25 hours of deliberations, jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict on either count, leading Shanahan to declare the mistrial just after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Demonstrators, organized by Black Lives Matter Cincinnati, gathered outside the Hamilton County Courthouse at 12:30 p.m. Those gathered want Prosecutor Joe Deters to retry the case, and they marched through Downtown to City Hall and Washington Park in Over-the-Rhine.
