Man charged with sexually assaulting at least 8 underage girls may get competency hearing
CINCINNATI -- A 29-year-old Forest Park man accused of engaging in illegal sexual activity with at least eight underage girls will find out Wednesday if a Hamilton County judge will grant him a competency hearing.
A grand jury indicted Christopher Charles in February with seven counts of compelling prostitution, two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of rape.
An investigation into Charles' actions first occurred after authorities received reports that he possibly sexually assaulted a female juvenile who was his acquaintance.
During the course of their investigation, detectives said they discovered at least seven other girls between the ages of 11 and 16 that may have been harmed by Charles.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m.
