HEBRON, Ky - A Comair jet made an emergency landing at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport Friday after detecting a possible problem with landing gear on the plane.
Just before 10 a.m. the pilot of flight 3205, a CRJ900 operated by Comair flying from Cincinnati to New Orleans, declared an emergency and asked to return and fly by the tower so officials could take a look at the gear and see if they saw a problem.
He made the pass and then landed around 10:20 a.m. without incident and passengers were re-accommodated on another aircraft.
Airport officials have not said how many passengers were on the plane.
Friday afternoon airport officials announced that approximately 12 flights have been canceled to/from CVG later in the evening due to anticipated freezing rain, dropping temperatures and winter weather advisories in other cities. Passengers should check with their airline before heading to the airport.
