Colerain police: 2 men arrested in connection with drug deal

CINCINNATI - Colerain Township police arrested two men Friday in connection with an alleged drug deal that took place last year.

On March 4, 2012, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 3300 block of Dreshler Drive in Colerain Township. That's where police found Demarco M. Reyes suffering from two gunshot wounds to his left side.

He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after the incident.

According to officials, Michael R. McCleery of Union Township later reported the shooting to police. Upon investigation, police found that Reyes and McCleery were involved in a an alleged drug deal that resulted in Reyes attempting to rob McCleery.

Police say McCleery had fired several shots at Reyes and fled the scene.

On Friday, Reyes was charged with aggravated robbery and McCleery was charged with felonious assault. Both were indicted by a Hamilton County Grand Jury.
