SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A Sycamore Township café worker is recovering after being stabbed multiple times outside his business.

The attack happened late Friday night at the Apple Tree Café at 3920 E. Galbraith Road, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found the 60-year-old victim lying on the floor in the rear of the business with several stab wounds at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

The victim told investigators he was taking out the trash when a shorter white man approached him with a large knife.

Deputies said the man stabbed the worker several times before running away. The attacker was last seen wearing a ski mask.

The victim passed out for an unknown amount of time before regaining consciousness and called for help.

Investigators said nothing was apparently taken from the business and the motive for the attack is unclear.

The victim was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 513-352-3040.
