Cincinnati police seek driver in Price Hill hit-skip

CINCINNATI - Cincinnati police are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a Price Hill accident with injuries on Sunday.

A driver of a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Lehman Road and Grand Avenue in Price Hill at about 9 p.m. and collided with a 1993 Oldsmobile traveling north on Grand Avenue. The Mitsubishi then struck a parked 2012 Chevrolet van. The driver and several occupants of the Mitsubishi fled the scene on foot.

Emergency crews transported four people to an area hospital — all of whom had minor injuries.

The Mitsubishi was the target of police earlier in the evening after they attempted to stop it for a traffic violation at about 8:20 p.m., but the driver took off at a high rate of speed. Officers did not pursue the vehicle.

The identity of the Mitsubishi driver is not yet known at this time, according to police.
