DEERFIELD TWP, Ohio - Twenty-five storage units were damaged in a fire in Deerfield Township early Thursday morning.
A fire started at Stor-All Self Storage , located in the 3200 block of Montgomery Road at about midnight and the flames spread, causing damage to 25 storage units.
Six fire departments responded to the blaze and extinguished the flames in about a half hour. Fire crews stayed on the scene through the early morning to monitor hot spots.
No one was injured in the fire, according to officials.
Authorities have not released information about the estimated cost of damage to both the units and the property.
The Fire Chief tells 9 News the unit where the fire started had a gun, propane tank and knives inside but he does not believe the fire is suspicious.
"We're still working to assess the extent of the damage from the fire and minimize any further damage. We're also contacting our clients who have been affected in order to let them know about the fire. We're working to give our clients access to their units as soon as it is safe to do so. Over the next few days we will continue working with our clients to help them recover from this unfortunate occurrence," said Aaron S Eldridge of Stor All Storage operations.
The cause is being ruled as 'undetermined' until the Fire Marshal can review the department's findings.
