Yes, I received a letter yesterday also.

If you also pay your Cincinnati Bell bill online, it may have been affected by this! I got first e-mail from them, my second e-mail came from "Billpay Customer Service", And my third was a letter today! This is a very serious matter.

I called on this and they are offering one year of McAfee virus protection and 2 years of credit monitoring service for free; I never doubted for a minute that this was bogus.

I received this e-mail as well and deleted it as well, thinking it was junk. I'm glad that this story was followed up on. I, probably like many other people, didn't think much of it when it happened.

I received an email similar to this the other day. I also deleted it because it looked hoaky. Thinking back I don't remember it saying Check Free anywhere and there wasn't a signature on the bottom. I didn't pay any bills online on December 2nd either. So I think that there must be another email out there that looks similar to this one that's a scam.

I deleted this email directly because It looked kind of hoaky. Turns out I pay my Duke energy bill through them and it was legit. Thanks for posting this article!!!
