We can now hear, for the first time, Brenda Slaby's emotional and personal account of what happened August 23.

That's the day Slaby left her two-year-old daughter in a hot car while working at Glen Este Middle School.

Slaby's comments are contained in a two-hour interview done with Union Township police.

She wonders out loud, "How can I go on?" She frets, "Good mothers don't do this!" She worries that she failed her daughter.

Clermont County prosecutor Don White didn't prosecute Slaby because he found Cecilia's death was an accident.

Union Township police had recommended a charge of child endangering.
