A man who told police he works as a coach at a local high school has been arrested for allegedly driving around with a loaded gun, but school officials say he no longer works for them.
It's a story 9News broke.
Cincinnati Police arrested 29-year-old Terrance Wilson of North College Hill on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers originally pulled him over in Over-the-Rhine because of excessive window tint on his Chevy Impala. During the traffic stop, Wilson reportedly failed to promptly inform them he was carrying a loaded 9 mm handgun in the car.
Upon further investigation, police also discovered he was driving while under suspension.
According to police records, Wilson identified himself as a coach at Colerain High School. As of early this morning, he was listed as an "assistant" on the
district's Web site. A spokesperson for Northwest Schools says he was terminated last year from his position as a volunteer basketball coach after a background check was conducted. She was unclear why he was listed on the school's website as an employee.
He is due in court on Thursday to face weapons charges.
