Police say a domestic dispute may have led to two people losing their lives Friday night in Colerain Township.

Investigators say just before midnight Friday, 62 year-old James Donaldson allegedly broke down the front door of his ex-wife's home in the 3600 block of Twinview Drive in Colerain Township.

Police say his ex-wife, 53 year-old Pamela Hardy was sleeping inside.

That's when investigators say Donaldson entered Hardy's bedroom and allegedly shot her after an argument.

Shortly after, police say Donaldson turned the gun on himself.

Hardy's sister was also sleeping in the home and heard the gun shots.  She called police.

When emergency crews arrived, both Donaldson and Hardy were found dead.

"There's never been a problem there that I have seen whatsoever.  So, I haven't seen any problems on this street since I've lived here," said Hardy's neighbor Thomas Schappert.

Investigators say the couple divorced in April.

They didn't have any children together.
