CINCINNATI - Yard House, an upscale-casual eatery based out of Los Angeles, is coming to The Banks in downtown Cincinnati.
The award-winning restaurant which is known for its American fusion fare, mix of classic and contemporary rock and 100-250 taps of imported, craft and specialty ales and lagers will open its first-ever Ohio location next year. It will span more than 10,000 square feet and will be built in front of the National Underground Freedom Center.
The restaurant will have an urban and industrial design featuring an open floor plan, exposed pipes, warm woods and stainless steel accents.
The craft beers will be stored in a glass-enclosed keg room and served from a center island bar that displays a fleet of tap handles pouring both local and regional brews. The restaurant will also have a digital chalkboard that displays a selection of small, limited releases from mostly craft brewers.

Yard House, founded by Chairman Steele Platt along with Herrmann and Carlito Jocson, opened its flagship restaurant on December 7, 1996, along the Long Beach waterfront south of Los Angeles. There are currently 37 restaurants across the country. The closest Yard House restaurant to Cincinnati is in Glenview, Illinois.
