Procter & Gamble (PG) raises dividend 7 percent to 64 cents

CINCINNATI - Procter & Gamble  (NYSE:PG) announced a 7% increase in its quarterly dividend Monday, increasing its payout from 60 cents to 64 cents.

This marks the 58th consecutive year that P&G has increased its dividend.

P&G has been paying a dividend for 124 consecutive years since its incorporation in 1890.

The first payments will be made on or after May 15 to common shareholders of record at the close of business on April 25, and to Series A and Series B Preferred Stock shareholders of record at the start of business on April 25, 2014.
