CINCINNATI -- Want to help a good cause and eat some free Graeter’s ice cream?
Well you're in luck: All Graeter’s locations are giving away free cones of Elena’s Blueberry Pie Ice Cream this Wednesday as part of its Cones for the Cure campaign.
The campaign is a partnership between Graeter’s and The Cure Starts Now Foundation to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
The free cones will be given away between 3 and 8 p.m.
The Cones for the Cure Campaign runs Sept. 4-16 at all Graeter’s locations.
Anyone who visits a Graeter's shop during the campaign period can donate a $1 or $5 “Cone for the Cure.” Those that donate $5 receive a gift booklet with $20 worth of savings at Graeter’s stores.
Elena’s Blueberry Pie Ice Cream is named after Elena Desserich, a child who died from pediatric brain cancer. According to Graeter's, Elena’s Blueberry Pie was originally only a limited edition flavor and later became a permanent flavor due to its popularity.
The fundraiser is held annually.
