Thousands of people are reporting problems updating their iPhones and iPads with Apple's new operating system.

iOS 7 is now available for free download for Apple devices.  It is getting rave reviews from many critics.

Unfortunately, many people are reporting problems getting the update.

But CNN-Money says don't panic.  It reports that Apple servers got so overloaded Wednesday afternoon, that many people were received error messages as they tried to install it.

It often said "software update failed."

Apple said this is not a problem with your device, and has happened in the past with similar upgrades.

The company says if you wait a day or two, it should be easier to download.

So you don't waste your money.
